Originally intended for FL Studio's Harmor (although they can be used for any synthesizer that allows images as input), this is a pack of 50 highly-abstract 32-bit bitmap images ready for loading into your favorite image-based sampler / synthesizer.

Using a combination of Processing and Filter Forge, I created some of the most detailed, swirled, and other-worldly pixel concoctions that not only look cool, but also do interesting things when resynthesized with your favorite synthesizer. Even better -- certain areas of specific images do wildly different things than the surrounding pixels, giving you a wide range of crazy synthesis options!

Simply unzip, place them into any old folder and drag whichever one looks cool to you into your synthesizer of choice . Resolutions range from 800x800 up to 2,000x2000, although most of them are on the larger end (and they all work the same).

Hi there! I was wondering if these would be available for use in personal projects (i.e, backgrounds in a video game), or if they're exclusively for image-based sampling / synthesizing? Thank you in advance.

You can totally use them as backgrounds! That sounds interesting, and I'm glad you like them for their visual sake, too! I had never thought of that myself :D

Also, you can generate your own combinations with PixelShop if you’re interested! It's also free right now!
